Install it

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Cratedigger into Applications.
  2. Open Cratedigger. macOS shows a warning because the app isn't from the App Store; click Done.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to "Cratedigger was blocked" and click Open Anyway. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.

On older macOS versions you can instead right-click Cratedigger in Applications and choose Open. Or, in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Cratedigger.app. You only do this once.

Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac: "Apple M1/M2/M3/M4…" is Apple Silicon, "Intel" needs the Intel version.
